Pillarhouse
international specifies Sono-Tek AccuMist Ultrasonic Systems
as standard equipment for the application of spray flux in Pillarhouse's
revolutionary Sapphire DW-100 selective soldering system.
"The AccuMist
system provides us with an atomized round spray flux formation
from between 2.0 to 7.0 mm in diameter, with the ability to adjust
flux density from 1 to 150 microliters/second," explains
David Johnson, UK Sales Manager for Pillarhouse. "In addition,"
he notes, "dispense times are programmable and excellent
results are achieved with all commonly available fluxes with
up to 5 percent solid content and beyond."
Pillarhouse
requires extremely accurate and reliable spray fluxing for high-volume
production applications where overspray must be near zero and
flux waste reduced to an absolute minimum. "Additional benefits
offered by the AccuMist systems," according to Johnson,
"are clog-resistant nozzles which reduce maintenance requirements
and result in less machine downtime."
To underscore
their commitment to Sono-Tek's AccuMist systems, Pillarhouse
recently upgraded its new entry-level Topaz Selective Soldering
System to include the AccuMist as standard equipment.
Pillarhouse
is the leading manufacturer of selective soldering equipment
in the UK. In the past 24 months, Pillarhouse has installed more
than 35 systems in high-volume manufacturing facilities in 12
countries. |
