Flux Application

Flux is supplied to the spray assembly from a closed reservoir by a positive displacement gear pump with titanium and Ryton® wetted components. The flux is atomized into a fine mist at the tip of the non-clogging, large-orifice ultrasonic nozzle where it is then dispersed horizontally to the correct width by low pressure compressed air before being propelled onto the bottom side of the PCB by a vertical stream of air.

Industry's Leader in Spray Fluxing
The SonoFlux 9500 delivers the leading technology in spray fluxing, priced in a range that is affordable. With a patented ultrasonic nozzle spray assembly, SonoFlux 9500 spray fluxers feature:

Reduced flux usage and VOC emissions by up to 80%.

Elimination of thinner and titration.

Total Reliability - No moving parts in the spray assembly. The stationary ultrasonic nozzle never clogs.

Complete Versatility - Retrofit or standalone spray fluxers adapt to any wave-soldering installation. Compatible with all liquid fluxes.

Easy to Operate and Maintain - PLC controlled. No need to change spray heads when changing fluxes.

Highly Efficient and Versatile
Ultrasonic nozzles are well-known for their soft, controllable atomization and clog-free operation. The SonoFlux 9500 delivers a low-velocity spray with pinpoint accuracy and precise control. This high-efficiency application of spray fluxing reduces consumption by up to 80% and eliminates the need for thinner or specific gravity controllers.

With the SonoFlux 9500 spray fluxer, the costs of waste disposal are virtually eliminated, and the system requires no nitrogen. In addition, Sono-Tek spray fluxing systems are compatible with all VOC-free, water-soluble, rosin, and no-clean fluxes.

Typical ROI is Less Than One Year
If you're currently using foam o
r wave fluxing equipment, replacing it with a SonoFlux 9500 spray fluxer will typically pay for itself in less than one year. And the low maintenance and high reliability will keep paying you back for years to come. Try our interactive calculator to determine your ROI:

Total Control and Ease of Operation
All SonoFlux 9500 systems are operated with an ergonomically designed digital controller which allows quick, easy setup and operation. The menu-driven screens follow a logical, intuitive layout. Recipes for hundreds of processes can be pre-programmed for instant recall as needed.

Far left: SonoFlux 9500 systems are available as retrofit models, and are easily installed into almost any wave-soldering machine. Installation kits are available for Electrovert®, Dover Soltec®, Sensbey®, Technical Devices®, and most others.

Left: Stand-alone systems are available with conveyors, or they can be placed over extended rails on your wave solder machine.

Two Versatile Spray Fluxer Configurations
In addition to the basic PLC configuration with its manual parameter control, a fully programmable version is available that includes a menu-driven display, the ability to program many different PCB settings for later recall with a single keystroke, fully automatic spray nozzle positioning, and an industry standard RS232 interface that enables parameters to be downloaded from a personal computer or a suitably equipped wave soldering machine.
