Sono-Tek’s gear-type metering pump systems are intended to be used in ultrasonic spray nozzle applications where precise metering of flow is required and where flow rates are in the range of 10 to 200 ml/min (0.16 to 3.3 gph).

These systems are ideal in circumstances where electronic control of flow rate is important, in continuous or intermittent flow situations.

Sono-Tek’s gear pump systems offer the following advantages:

  • Pulseless operation
  • Compatibile with both continuous and intermittent flow applications
  • Total electronic control of flow rate and on/off functions, internally or through external PLCs or PCs
  • These systems are not recommended for applications in which the liquid to be sprayed contains undissolved solids.
  • Features

  • Completely integrated functionality with all Sono-Tek Ultrasonic Spray Nozzle Sytems
  • Available in flow rate ranges of 10 - 70 or 40 - 200 ml/min (0.16 - 1.2 or 0.7 - 3.4 gph)
  • Continuous circulation of liquid. Liquid is directed either back to the source (when the nozzle is idle) or to the nozzle, via a three-way valve. This mode of operation is ideal for achieving accurate delivery in intermittent flow applications
  • LED display of flow rate.
  • Complete flow rate calibration facilities
  • Toggle switch to increase or decrease flow rate
  • Trigger inputs and outputs to synchronize operation with the nozzle and for external on/off command signals
  • Pump body is magnetically coupled to the motor, eliminating rotating seals and any possibility of liquid contaminating the motor
  • Wetted Materials
Pump 316 stainless steel body, polyphenylene sulfide gears, Teflon® width=250>316 stainless steel body, polyphenylene sulfide gears, Teflon® PTFE seals, Titanium spring
    Three-way Valve 316 stainless steel, Buna-N seals and o-rings
    Features
Configuration Contained in a compact enclosure; all liquid and electrical inputs, outputs and controls externally accessible
    Flow Rate Display(1) LED-type, units: ml/min
Flow Rate Adjustment(1) Front-panel, bidirectional toggle switch
External Trigger Input 3 - 240 V AC or DC; Switch or relay contact: N/O or N/C. For external pump triggering
Trigger Output 24VDC; Triggers Broadband Ultrasonic Generator and nozzle
Alarm Output Relay, N/O or N/C attaches to user’s external alarm device
Error Input Sounds alarm in the event of nozzle malfunction
Flow Rate Calibration Internal adjustment potentiometer
Liquid Tubing Teflon® FEP, 1/4 inch OD, 10 ft.
    Note: (1) Flow rate steps:
    0.5 ml/min for 10 - 70 ml/min model
    1.0 ml/min for 40 - 200 ml/min model
    Performance
    Flow Rate Range 10 - 70 ml/min (0.16 - 1.2 gph)
    40 - 200 ml/min (0.7 - 3.4 gph)
    Flow Stability ± 10%
Priming Not self-priming. The pump head should be no more than 12 inches below the nozzle inlet when priming.
    Input Power 90 - 240 VAC
